this performance returns to gmtc to consider what remains after a performance ends—what can be held, what can be archived, and what persists only through bodies and shared memory.
materials from two performances and three talks are sorted, documented, labeled, and packed, even as their organic and participatory nature resists completion. the work takes place in an open studio format, with visitors free to come and go. long-term objects developed to support gmtc’s daily operation remain in the space as durational performances, extending the work into cycles of use, wear, and maintenance.
